to me sacrificing my desires for the sake of God and paradise maybe worth more than all these worldly things you mentioned. And yes I have sacrificed a lot! To someone who wishes not to disobey our Lord out of fear and love for Him then we may at times find ourselves lonely, destitute, etc. But we do it out of love for Him and fear of Him. As a Muslima I can tell you my love for God far surpasses that of any love I have for family,sex, wealth, etc. And I repeat I have been tested..I'm not just saying it cos its been made easy for me. Sometimes I've failed...ok many times I've failed but thats just why life is a constant struggle for us Muslims...but we believe ultimately it will all be worth it, Inshallah! We will get our reward for all we went through of hardships..that too an eternal reward.
