Secondary education is for (in no particular order):
Learning how to think
Facilitating flexabilty in thought
Fostering an attitude for, and ability to, engage in life long learning.
Being prepared for adult life, not a specific job as such.
Fostering a wide range of interests and talents
Promoting self confidence and self motivation.
All of the above under the umbrella of the 'traditional' school subjects - but other students may acheive this and are better suited to more 'alternative areas of study
I think post 18 education is where ant specific job preparation should take place.
The other two vids are slower, more informal and have less jargon.
