well galloper, from what I understand, one is not supposed to look for work if one is on a a. tourist visa, visit visa. A free visa, to my knowledge ,is not quite legal. So, again, no need for a career fair.
Again, Qatar is not a country where expatriates are supposed to look for work, we are supposed to HAVE work BEFORE we actually arrive here.
From what I hear, Qatar is trying to widen its Qatari workforce...therefore they hold things like this career fair...not for expats to do their thing.
We, the expats, are nothing more than hired workers..once our job is finished, for what ever reason, we are supposed to leave. UNLESS there is specific demand , but in that case we do not need to LOOK for a job, the job will be offered to us.
Now, if people would abide by those rules, which are set by the Qatari government, we all would have much less to worry. And much less to complain about.
