I dont know seems like the landlord thinks you are rolling in money then. I dont know about the lease laws but normally its just 1 months notice and they ask for a months security deposit. Even if you have to leave before the contract expires you just need to give the landlord a month's notice and you might forfeit the security deposit...not sure on that though.
