ex. ex. when i came to qatar first time, I even didn't know about this law! And even if I knew... WHERE i supposed to stay since I came to qatar as a tourist, and happened to have my male-friend over here.. should i stay at the ridiculously overpriced qatari hotels for 12 nights? huh. In this case i would never come to qatar, as there are hundreds of more attractive places for spending such amount of money :)
He said, it is a nice country, come over, and enjoy it.. and i did.. he had 3 BR apartment, and I had whole separate room for myself..don't see anything wrong with that! i did enjoy qatar up to the point that I decided to get a job here (was no such plans prior to coming to qatar). I went back home, and got a Job offer few monthes later, and that's how I am here. I think everyone benefits from my first visit: Qatar, having my "tourist's" money; my Company where I currently work; my husband, which I have met here in qatar; and myself!
If i was not allowed to stay at my male-friend place first time, ALL that wouldn't have happened! :)
again, when two are leading common in law life out of wedlock, it is one thing.. and another thing, your friends came and stayed for a night or two in a spear room.. one has to have common sense! :)
