Like it or not, there a language issues (more about grammer and usage, accent would be next) at the school, derived directly from the quality of teachers that are hired at MES. This is at least partially true of other Indian schools too. If you have any doubt about this, please do listen to the principal of MES speaking.
Now whether all Mallus have issues or not etc are just generalizations. Mallu accent is not the best, but then accent is not as severe as issue as being able to put grammatically correct sentences together. And there are much worse accents in other parts of India, and many other countries, including parts of the arab world itself ! So if somebody is picking on Mallus for their accent, let them do it. This is not Toastmasters, we are discussing a school.
Mallus have excelled, flourished, and at the same time failed spectacularly (just look at the roads and work culture in Kerala)... if someone wants to pick on that, let them look at the mirror first, watch television about other cultures and societies, and if they still feel it is worth talking about, let them do !
For MES, it is do or die now. It has become worse than many (not all!) government run schools in Kerala itself, in terms of discipline and student quality. Let us hope for the sake of the 10000 students there that people who run it get their act together.
