Isobel,I never said that people who have maids are bad parents. I used to have a maid when my kid was little. She would do the cleaning etc, which gave me more time to spend with my kid. and yes, she baby sat....in the evenings when my kid was asleep.

Now, to the child choosing a maid over a parent...well, of course the maid will be indulgent with the child..it is less work, she may not know how to discipline the child properly, she is not allowed to discipline the child, she may be afraid of the repercussions if the child gets upset...so yes, the child may very well choose the maid over the parents..still not a good things though.

And you may think halloween is boring for adults,,,and yes, for some it may be...but you know what, spending time with your child is not necessarily meant to be entertaining for the parents....;)
