When working with pigment it is theoretically possible to mix black using an equal combination of the 3 primary colours or the 3 secondary colours - but in practice it is impossible. They would have to be equal to an infinitesimal scale.
Even if you achieved this the light from the surrounding environment would still reflect off the surface thus not achieving a pure black - only an approximation.
The colour Black does not exist - however if you venture down a mine shaft and away from any reflected light, then turn the lights out...then...Voila...BLACK!
