As for rose petal shower/path, cleaning up later will be a hassle. opt for something simple.

She'll be too tired travelling with the baby. what she'll need is a nice hot bath. So bath crystals/aroma salts would be nice. Lay out a nice comfy nightgown on the bed, feed her some hot soup, plus take over the baby from her to give her well needed rest and she'll be very grateful. Make sure to make arrangements for food the next day.
