I will talk to my manager who is helpful but he also can only just "make requests" to the owners. I just am not sure of my options if/when "his" requests on my behalf are denied.

They need me as much as I need them at this point, so I am afraid to begin "less than cordial" discussions without going too far.

If I have NO other options if something goes bad, then my stance is weak if I make demands and ultimatums since they most likely know my options are small to none.

But I was just wondering if verbal promises were not met that would have changed my mind long ago BEFORE signing the contract, then that is truly a trap and brutally unfair....
...or will I just get the expected: "Too bad, life's unfair, you signed, deal with it." ---from everyone, including my employer.
