i usually don't approach salesladies when checking out electronics. i think they don't really know much about gadgets and the male salespeople usually know better in terms of specs etc. i don't mean to sound like i have gender bias but they are not as educated about tech stuff as you probably are. aside from the fact that salesmen are nicer to ladies, hehe. that saleslady probably doesn't know anything at all and tried to hide it by snapping at you but jumped at the chance to flirt with a white guy.
haven't had that experience since coming here but if that happened to me, i would have made an impromptu speech for the whole store to hear about how some people can go so low when it comes to men. i'd talk so much she'd be totally humiliated in front of her colleagues and that white guy she's struggling to impress.
i found that some salespeople here lack training with regard to the products they sell. i have low iq when it comes to cosmetics so i usually have to ask salesladies about which one would go with my skin tone etc. some of them here can't answer me properly. what i do is i usually ask the gay guy, if one is available. i simply switch to semi-bekimon mode and we're instant best friends. and then i'll be receiving expert advice ^_^
