rizks, it's like a gathering/party/convention where kids dress up as their favorite japanese anime cartoon characters. short for costume play, i think. these events are very popular in japan and pretty much most of the east & southeast asian countries in places where the manga and anime subculture exists.

i love anime and manga myself but i find i'm a bit too old for these things.
