The Qatari folk songs is not different from other GCC countries, but I do think that we are almost close to Saudi & Bahraini folk songs. Unlike Kuwait or EMirates, there wasn't a rich folk songs culture in Qatar. There are many form of music though. Some are called "shallat" which are the songs of the people of the desert, "naham" songs in pearl diving journeys or wedding songs
