I was working as a newspaper delivery boy and for six years (every morning), I had the opportunity to mingle with female prisoners in our national penitentiary for women (Women correctional).
Judging by the way they live and "enjoy" their life inside, I would say prison is good. But by talking to them, you'll feel the "other side" of the story.
Of course it's a different story for those convicted with heinous crimes, they need to realize what they did is really wrong! The best I could do is shake their hands, and that's already a luxury!
