Beer at Admiral's costs about 30 Riyals or slightly more than USD8 for a pint.
The Ramada has several bars including the Sherherazad which charges 24 Riyals per beer. They have the big screen TVs with mostly soccer and cricket showing - so if you're into baseball and American football you'll be out of luck. It's more of a tavern feel there.
At bubbles (in the New part of the Ramada), it's more loungy, the beer is the same price Ok if you want to sit in a comfy chair and relax - I understand it gets more active later in the evening (I usually go for a beer and a snack - try the deep fried prawns - excellent)
A lot of people go to the Harp at the Sheraton, I'm not fussy as their menu is limited and the beer is too expensive.

Hope that helps.
