Four of my compatriots (of same family) were deported last year for beating a police officer. The police officer was not on duty & was driving his personal car when he got offended by being tailgated by the four coming behind in their pick up. He started beating the driver of the pick up and didn't listen to the requests made by the driver's relatives...resulting in a fierce reaction from them. The police officer ended up in hospital and found innocent later on in the court. Unfortunately, the newspapers didn't even bother to report it and nobody took notice of it.

Now, an Arab expatriate is sentenced only one month in jail. Another regional expatriate is sentenced to five year in prison and a South Asian is deported? Are their different standards for different nationalities? Or may be, the policeman beaten by the Saudi was a South Asian by descent?
