kwikfit, you have worked in the Gulf before so you know that answers and policies are never written in stone. I would venture my guess that with another passport and the passing of nine years you would be fine if you came on a visit visa, especially if your name were a common one. But that's the hazard of the Gulf, you never know for sure. I think you'd be as safe as possible if you did get your visa in advance from the embassy in the UK. I'm not sure I'd alert them to the fact that you have outstanding debts, however.
