I had a problem with my camera and took it to the Sony service center, still under warranty. They refused. I asked to speak to the manager. He refused. I then asked for his supervisor (NY City Headquarters) and told them I needed their e-mail to complain. I would send them the camera if needed. Long story, but they finally did agree to fix it for me free, probably just to get rid of me.
If you truly believe you are in the right just don't accept No for an answer. Keep going until you get a yes.
