All the gyms here are super expensive, what I've done is downloaded an exercise/diet plan called Power 90 and P90X (do the Power 90 first) I know I was complaining yesterday that it didn't seem to be working but today I'm fitting into a pair of pants that last week I burst the button on :) So I guess it is.
The exercise in Power 90 is for about 40 - 45 minutes a day (6 days a week) with the option of doing an extra 36 minute fat burner aerobics whenever you have the time (or not at all if you don't want to). All you need to get for it is either some weights or a resistance band (costs about 20 QR) and you can do it all from your living room.
I can vouch that the exercises are really great and you'll be sweating your Arse off and will notice a difference in your strength level within days,
However I do find the diet to be a bit too much food for me as it advocates eating 5 times a day. What I've done is create my own diet through some trail and error that I feel comfortable with.
Sunday to Wednesday:
For breakfast: 1 big glass of grapefruit juice, small bowl of Special K with dried cranberries & a cup of green tea,
for Lunch: A big bowl of raw veg with a little hummous or low fat blue cheese/ranch dressing for dip & water, perhaps another green tea
For dinner: One day A large bowl of Special K or Cheerios with dried cranberries, the next roasted vegetables with a quarter cup of rice with water to drink.
On Thursdays:
For breakfast: 1 big glass of grapefruit juice, small bowl of Special K with dried cranberries & a cup of green tea,
for Lunch: A big bowl of raw veg with a little hummous or low fat blue cheese/ranch dressing for dip & water, perhaps another green tea
Dinner: what ever the hell I want with whatever I want to drink.
Friday/Saturday
I eat as healthy as I can. But there's always groceries to get, BB-Qs to go to, etc, so I don't keep myself to the strict diet. But whenever I can I go for the healthy options. If I'm at the mall and need food I go for Subway not Burger king. For dinners I make veggies dogs or burgers or something homemade and relatively healthy.
After 2 weeks I'm seeing a difference, but the thing is it requires willpower.
