Your statement "India might be the greatest democracy, but so far as people there are concerned, they are YEARS behind the western world. People need to be educated and that takes time.As was mentioned things like that happen quite alot in west, but they don't shut the newspaper, imprison the painter, journalist and furthermore the painter or......doesn't need to leave his/her country because he/she receives death threat..... Education, education, education..." is sufficiently explicit to show that you are pointing accusing fingers againt an entire nation,sir.and a disclaimer like (Hope this is no offense to our indian community here) won't really work in this case.
