While I agree with whyteknight in theory, in principal, the Arabs and white bachelors don't usually stare. What I do disagree with is making it impossible for any Asian bachelors to carry out their weekly shopping or to have a place to gather and socialize (parks/corniche, etc) - if an employer or sponsor brings in more than say 10 employees, they should have to provide adequate recreational facilities (park/shopping, etc.) IF the Qatari authorities allow "family only" days.
Family day is a euphamism for racism IMHO - but I don't think that the authorities will ban them soon (not right, not fair, not moral or ethical but that's what the truth is here). At least give these guys an option rather than just banning them outright.
Or, you could do what I do, not go to these places on Fridays/Family days. Money talks, and if we don't shop on family days, then the policy will change very quickly
