Salahib: I used to have a boat but I sold it as I got too involved in scuba diving and didn't have time to maintain my boat. I used to fish offshore a lot...but got my experience from shore fishing first.

I had lots of good memories fishing on and off shore here in Doha and I still have my rods and reels and would like to fish during the weekends since it's so cold to dive right now.

t_coffee: My favorite fishing spot was in Mesaieed...it is somewhat secret as not a lot knows that spot and got big sized subeiti, sheri, catfishes, barracudas and kingfishes there. Even some stingrays! It was a very good spot as nobody goes there to disturb the sea...but it got closed now.... :-(
