You're absolutely right...it is really a shame seeing literalists close their minds to reality and what makes most sense (interpretation). If god gives u tools, and ur too stupid or lazy not to use them...and think "i'll just leave it up to allah and sit here and smoke my sheesha and watch tv....inshallah...." well then....dont blame him for the consequences....people have the tools, the means and the will. So how about a little accountability? Isnt this also an islamic trait too? (as it is for all peoples).....the people in this case will face their own fates....as for the woman and the children, Im sure they will be taken care of in one fashion or another (and i mean that positively!)
