Yeah, but we can either pay $30 000/year to keep these animals alive or let them out where they keep re-offending. History doesn't lie, and rarely do pedophiles "heal" and re-integrate into society. This is not a taboo subject in America and after years of research, it's clear these guys can't be helped.
I also don't want to pay taxes (if this were America) to keep them alive either.

I would say death penalty is sometimes too little for the crimes these people commit.
