Hummm not sure but I think Thanks Giving may be a derivative of our Harvest Festival back home in the UK. And I don't know for certain so please correct me if I am wrong, it is a massive thank you to God for a good crop and all that. I think it's an excellent celebration, and regardless of faith should have a place in every culture. I am not religious but none the less I thank God for all the fruits of my year, and if the USA has been kind enough to supply a date for doing it, well splendid I am on board.
