100 years of solitude rewarded a Nobel Prize to Gabo Garcia.... is a very interesting novel where you can find a lot of references of latinamerican culture, the way of thinking of Latin american people about many of things, like, our ancestors used to think that when relatives got married their kids would born having a pork tail...may be such believing was inspired by specifics cases but they generalized, such belief is told in the novel and is well known across most of latin american countries that our grandpas or their grandpas used to believe that... is a nice history..long but nice.... i only read it in spanish, but had a look on the english version and is quit good...
