Hi Iren, I appreciate your effort in posting your predicament. And honestly, you draw my attention. I'm a Filipina, singe at 35, not counting boyfriends, Christian and hardworking - earned all of my material possesion - house, car and household items by myself. And yes, I'm like the people you disliked- I too look at the Filipinas with foreign boyfriends or husband much older than them the way you didn't like. Of so many filipinas I have known in my entire life (many of them especially here in the gulf), just like foreigners (or even married Filipino Engineer) for common reasons...they wanted to have a ride, they love to received gifts, to save and be able to send more money to philippines, they wanted to have those personal stuff they could barely buy for themselves and even just for fun...Admit it, we all know that these kind of Filipinas are ""really really a pain in the ass"". I hate them for ruining the filipina image. BUT, you just said so about love, and I AGREE with you! It does exist for couple with different nationalities. Now when you are out there with your HUBBY, when you see people staring at you, MAYBE they are like me - gauging, sizing up and feeling if what you're flaunting for all people to see is TRUE??? TIP - dress smartly( less skin more advantage and proper), talk in English proficiently, act in a professional manner and smile and greet them politely in few tagalog words - and they would say, 'oh smart woman make smart choices'.
