I broke the rules in my marriage by having an affair with another girl. My marrriage wasn't good but it wasn't until I met someone else that I could see what was wrong and how much happier I could be alone or with someone else.

Marriage is an institution that is designed for social reasons, including stability, and it doesn't care if you are happy or unhappy; it takes on a life of its own and in at least 50% of cases it makes people more or less miserable. There is no reason why we should believe this institution is special or sacred. Marriage should be made more difficult and divorce made more easy.
