Thanks for the replies. No a Canadian Notary will not do. So says the closing company.

And yes I have been told that initialed pages don't need to be notarised so 5-7 does sound a lot better doesn't it.. Well lets see I haven't seen the papers yet.

The problem with changing the closing date I guess is the seller. Closing company and bank have no problems with changing the date. But I guess I would have to convince the seller also.

Anyways I seem to have stirred up a bit of a rucous at the bank with my drama queen act about the notary and they are pulling out the stops to get the papers here for the 20th. As I said.. We shall see.

Worst comes to worst there is always the local law firm who says they can do it but even at 5-7 pages 500 QAR per page just sticks in my craw..

Cheers,
Mark
