Olive, true certain traits are unique (by the way many other species use sonar). I can't think of many other animals with trunks other than elephants. But dont you think it strange that only one species evolved in that manner? There is just so much variety and complexity in nature yet for all these species to be around just by coincedence doesn't make sense.
But for me at the end of the day there is something unique about human beings...how many elephants do you know posting on QL!!:-)))
By the way what did the ancestors of chimps look like? were they as radically different as 'ours'?
