As someone who has just ended a 15 year marriage I would suggest we put term limits (say 5 years) on all marriages. Marriage, in much of the western world, is an anachronism, an outdated institution. Just look at the statistics. Fifty per-cent of marriages end in divorce; and I bet that out of the remaining 50% at least 50% of those are not working well. Marriage is a social institution that evolved a long time ago and was adapted for quite different people and social conditions than exist in today's western world, and increasingly, I suppose, throughout much of the developing world.
