Ok, I did read the article (sad I know!). Have to say though with these kind of fossil discoveries there is a lot of speculation since this is not an exact science. Sometimes ppl see what they want to see.

The paper has only been published recently so there will be a peer review. As the article suggests already other scientists believe there is no firm evidence that the creature was a biped, "..the evidence for bipedality is limited at best." The 'sex for food' theory is hilarious and only a scientist could get away with it.

Few questions. How come humans are the only species amonst the mammals that have evolved to be bipeds? How come the ancestors of the modern day chimps, apes, gorillas, etc did not evolve? Didnt they watch our 'ancestors' and learn from them?
