The main problem is that the companies here in your field, simply don't have time to put into training staff. Most training is focused on the local residents already here. On-the-job training means that someone has to supervise you & most companies simply don't have the spare manpower to do this.
Only suggestion I have would be to choose something out of your skills category that you are good at & enjoy. Re-do your CV so that it's not so focused on your needing to grow & develop over the whole discipline - but rather emphasise a particular interest & capability in that narrower area that you have. Look for jobs that match & you may find someone prepared to "give you a shot"
