With a lot of respect for everyone, i think that fear to Iran is based on the SPEECH... before rasing any angry attitude will explain a very good example of what is to be a good opposition without being an ass%#$%#le
Last years Latin America (Mexico and all the way southbound to Chile and the Caribbean islands) has suffered a very interesting change in politics, many countries changed their governments from typical right wing conservativ pro-USA partys to lefty - socialist -anti US governments...the main example was mr Hugo Chavez who has won a lot of popularity within US enemies because of his big mouth... he is building an axis which now includes Iran, Zimbabwe, Libia...and well... last week he made a comment in public arguing that Mr Mugabe from Zimbabwe has been satanized by Imperialist media... i think we all know what happened in Zimbabwe polls and after...but well ... he is behaving in a very chasing way against US... but indeed is doing very stupid things, buying russian diesel submarines, old fashioned russian helicopters and weapons, sponsoring other countries, he almost started a war with Colombia...
In the other hand, Brasil is being leaded by second period by a very smart lefty-socialist non to friendly with US president LULA da Silva... but contrary to what Chavez and the new axis are doing..he is investing in great things in Brasil, changing the situation, turning Brasil in a monster in terms of global economy and finances..
So my point was... fear of Iran comes out of mr presidents speech..talking about erasing a country from the map, and thinks like that...
