i loved rurouni kenshin in my college days. the last anime that had a big effect on me is death note. i even travelled to singapore a couple of years back just so i could watch the L movie on the big screen.

samurai champloo was cool too. i used to like bleach and followed the anime a lot but i got tired/lost interest in the hueco mundo arc. is bleach still exciting?

i might be missing half of my life but i didn't dare get started on naruto because it's so long and i don't want to have a single tv show control my life for a long time :)

for shoujo anime/manga, my most recent favorite is skip beat!. saiunkoku monogatari (pretty wicked politics for a 'girly' anime/manga), ouran high school host club and fruits basket are my other favorites. i'm currently watching toradora.

oh, all of hayao miyazaki's anime are classics.

i prefer jap audio with english subtitles, but i think filipino dubbing is better than english dubs. something in the anime gets lost (the humor, intended puns, personalities of the characters, etc) when they get dubbed in english.
