Then when I finally saw it I was more than a little underwhelmed. "Lite" viewing trash really, and a Survivor song is hardly a good thing. Rocky was a killer flick. The sequels were not. A pumping rubbish AOR tune and endless series of montages, 80's mainstream cinematography was the pits, except for comedy that is.
"Crossroads" was a decent movie with the already stereotyped Ralph Macchio...much better than any of the Karate Kids.
In retrospect, I can safely say The Transformers full length was a much bigger picture of my childhood. I can still watch it today (hell, killing off Optimus Prime in the opening third of the movie was a traumatizer!), the voice talent alone was better than anything about the KK series....
