We would like to extend a huge thank you to the hundreds of people who rallied together to help us in our hour of need. We are eternally grateful to you all for your support and with the numerous foster carers, searchers and pet taxis, a huge number of lives were saved. A big thank you to the emergency services who were so quick to assist.

We currently have around 15 dogs which have been taken into foster homes with the rest being taken to Qatar Veterinary Centre, The Veterinary Surgery and Pampered Pets. We are so grateful to all the staff at the clinics and kennels who were able to find space at such short notice and helped with the rescue mission. Starting tomorrow we will be looking for foster homes for the remaining dogs as the clinics can not keep them indefinitely.

Our cats were not so lucky and unfortunately we still don't know how many escaped. We have found at least 15 cats and more have returned to the shelter looking for their dinner so fingers crossed our original estimates were wrong and we will continue to find them over the next few days. They have also been taken to the vet clinics.

As you can see from the photos - we have lost everything. If anyone can help us out and donate pet food for the animals staying at the clinics we would be very grateful.

This will not stop us and we will rebuild, bigger, better and stronger (and also in concrete). We don't know how or when, but we will be looking at rebuilding the shelter as soon as is physically possible and we will need all the help we can get. We will need donations of food, towels, bowls, crates, toys, leads, beds, litter trays - we literally have nothing left.

Anyone who thinks they may be able to help with foster care - please be advised that we don't know when we are going to be in a position to take them back into our care. We will continue to advertise animals on the website and try to rehome them from their temporary homes.

Again, words can not express how grateful we are to all of you for your support.
