ashwin, when you agree that all hindus worship that one god irrespective of which idol they focus on, dont you think then that islam just encourages to worship that one god without associating idols. This is the god all faithful invoke when in disaster. So, why do they need idols? In that way islam is anyones religion who invokes that one god. I think that is more logical and plain.
