Initial vaccinations should be given at a minimum of 8 weeks old (tri-cat for cats & DLPPH for dogs). A booster for this is then given 4 weeks later. The rabies shot can be given at any time after 12 weeks old. The tri-cat/DLPPH and the rabies are then given every 12 months after that.
So if an animal comes into the shelter and is vaccinated, by the time they are rehomed they need to be vaccinated again (with the booster). If an animal is with us for 1 year then they would have 3 sets of vaccinations.
An animal is only neutered once.
