Qatar Airways will only carry animals up to 32Kg (including crate) so you would need to fly Lufthansa or KLM from France to Doha. Just check with them the maximum size crate they will carry and that your dog fits in the crate. If your dog needs the Giant sized crate then you will probably need to send him/her as cargo. Don't try and squeeze them into a crate that's too small to save money though as they won't accept it on the flight!!

You need to make sure you have all the right paperwork and permits before travelling. If you need help with the import permit application contact Qatar Pet Relocators www.qatarpetrelocators.com who can arrange it for you and advise you of any other regulations that need to be followed. Let the airline know when you book your ticket that you are travelling with a dog and they will probably want the size of the crate and the total weight (dog & crate).

Each airline has different prices for accompanied baggage. The maximum it would be charged at is QR100 per Kg so for a 30Kg dog and 20Kg crate it would work out a maximum of QR5,000. You might find it a lot less depending on the airline you use.

There are one or two hotels that accept cats and dogs under 12Kg but a 30Kg lab would not be allowed to stay in any hotel in Qatar. You would have to book the dog into a boarding kennels.
