Most professional job searches take at least six months (if you are lucky and in demand) to a year or more. If you want to flip burgers at McDonald's it takes only a couple weeks. It's a long process from submitting a resume to waiting for an interview to your employer slogging through the candidates, coming up with a short list, interviewing again, getting the committee together and making a final decision. Then waiting while someone goes on vacation, then getting approval from the finance department and HR then another wait for the contract to be drawn up. THEN an offer might be made! And, ooops, I've just described the process in the US, better double or triple it for the Gulf!
