I remember many moons ago when I first started work and my lilly soft schoolboy hands were getting blisters from using tools, the old Electricians told me to piss on them!!(The hands that is!)and it worked! seems likes urine toughens the skin and avoids you getting blisters. Also heard the same advise for hikers in new boots!!
