1. Finding a place where there are other people if you feel in any way threatened (a petrol station for example)
2. Call the police - if you feel that you are being followed or if you have been approached and asked any question you feel are inappropriate. Take out your phone, call the police, give them the number plate of the car (if there is one) - take a photo of the car or person - you have no need to feel embarrassed or paranoid - just a right to feel safe and secure
3. I mentioned this one in a previous post where an Asian woman had felt she had no "choice" but to comply with an Arab man in a thobe's order to get into his car. She was on a busy street - approach another car (preferably one with a white Western woman in it like me :D) I'll get out and tell this guy where to get off AND I'll call the police and report him and his number plate. We have to help each other.
4. If you are only a witness to such deviant behaviour - step up to the plate - become involved. Ask the lady if she wants you to call the police, if the deviant tries to get in your face - call the police.
5. Don't wait until it gets physical or dangerous - call the police, try to get to an area where there are lots of people, do something first - don't let it happen.
