I have seen an illustration(in a book) in a reputable library showing Prophet Mohammed mounted on a horse. This was a hand sketch, showing only profile. Except this one picture, I have never seen any picture of the prophet. All other pictures in Western books have been blacked out by ink. Why is this? I thought only Allah has no form and there can be no image. But The prophet Mohammed(PBUH) was his messenger and a human. So why the restriction on his illustrations?
Can any muslim friend enlighten me on this?
