Thanks for your comments and it is great to see the whole on line community so involved in the subject of us launching in Qatar.

We want to "make a world of difference for all people here in Qatar" and that will take some time. Your feedback and input will help us do this ...so thanks to you all for taking the time to comment.

I think we have made a difference already by giving Qtel an incentive to change some of their products and pricing which have already been good for people!

What I want to do now is to CHANGE the whole industry as there are many "tricks and surprises" in the current pricing practices in our industry, and they are used here by Qtel.

I want to make sure we provide clear, simple and transparent plans that give customers control of their spend and deliver great value!

We will change the industry to do this by not using complex pricing plans that are designed to trick people. We have removed the nasty "post pay" procing tricks, such as .....high rates once your free minutes and texts are used up, like loosing whatever minutes or texts you do not use by the end of the month, like having no flexability in the bundle to use what you need and most importantly having no control of your spend!

All of these are answered with FLEXI on.... FREEDOM our innovative new account structure! The main benefit of a FREEDOM acount is that it gives you full control of your spend! This is not new for prepay customers as they already get control but every Qtel post pay customer I have asked does not know what their monthly bill will be till they get it, and it usally a nasty surpise! Customers have also told me that geting a Qtel account is difficult and paying it is inconveient. A FREEDOM account is simple to join is paid automatically and most importantly gives you FULL control and visibility of your spend.

If you are a Qtel pre pay customerr you know you are paying a BIG premium to a Qtel account customer. Vodafone Felxi on Freedom is easy to join gives you the great value of post pay and and you keep the control of pre pay, plus you never have to line up to buy a scratch card!

Finally as we launch I wanted to make sure we did this in stages and not try and do everthing at once. We will continue to launch and add new things for all Vodafone customers and this thread is real helpful n us priortising these....like Flexi 35 on line. Please keep the suggestions coming!
