It really is amazing but most people do not realize how sound carries. They think it's a normal volume while three apartments away you can hear every word/note. And what's even more astounding to me is that people have to be reminded again and again that their sound is too loud. But most folks are good about it even if reminding them over and over is a pain. You keep thinking. "How could they not know?" but they don't.
