Is this a debate about forced marriage, or just about age difference in general?
I was just referring to women (maybe they are gold diggers, maybe they have a wrinkle fetish, who knows) who actively seek out and marry, of their own will, older men:
Anna Nicole Smith was 62 years younger than her husband;
Salman Rushdie's wife is 23 years younger;
Frank Sinatra was 30 years older than Mia Farrow;
Mia then married Woody Allen, who then married Soon-Yi, who was 35 years younger than him;
Hugh Hefner, born 1926, currently lives with a pair of twins, born in 1990, a 64 year age gap.
Catherine Zeta Jones is 25 years younger than her husband Michael Douglas
Billy Joel is 32 years older than his wife;
I don't think there is any suggestion that any of those marriages were forced, and I can't see anything wrong with it.
If you are going to talk about forced marriage, then my stance would be that whether it's a 60 year age gap or a 6 month age gap, forcing two people to marry against their will is just plain wrong, on every level.
