You'll have to check your insurance policy to see if you're covered. No-one here can answer that for you without knowing the details of your policy.

Regarding giving birth here, you don't get as many options as you do in the UK. Home birth is not allowed for example. Continual foetal monitoring is preferred during birth. They cut the cord straight away. They're not keen on you giving birth squatting or on all fours. etc. etc.

Things are changing slowly but it will take time.
