More than once I have come close to being knocked over whilst walking on the pavement here!
My suggestions:
a) A draconian crack down on slack driving
b) lollipop crossing people for schools
- a school near me is a disgrace with traffic as the parents just stop in the middle of the road and create chaos
organise the cars - staff to organise kids going to cars
its all so random
c) zebra crossings
d) crack down on people ambling across the road

bridges and underpasses are fine....but lets start with enforcing the rules
