I chose to have my baby here instead of in the UK and I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.
I have friends who were all due around the same time that gave birth in NHS hospitals and all have their complaints. I also know people who complain about the hospitals here.
If you can afford to chose where you have your child, you're obviously going to chose the hospital you personally feel is right for you - regardless of country!
It was just my decision to have him here and not the UK.
I don't think a child should get any passport/nationality other then their parents. Just my opinion.
Benefits differ from country to country - here you get free innoculations for your baby for the first year and the first 2 years residency free. I'm grateful for that having seen the prices at Al Ahli hospital for innoculations!! Having them done at Government clinics saves you QR1,000 each time!
